Waves of Fury

Waving at beach,                 The piers on the edge
lapping at shore                    once, tall, strong and high-
Cannot contain                     down on the bottom
itself anymore.                      silently lie.

Thunderous bolts                  As the sea lies down,
fly overhead.                         stable and flat,
Pretty display                        great clouds arrive
but don't be mislead.              where waves once sat.

Sky opens up,                       Oceans hold beauty
Down falls heavy rain.            that capture it's prey,
There seems no hope             still by night,
for calmless again.                  yet roaring by day,

And in the middle                   Some say they rule it.
a ship does fall,                      Some disagree.
pulling down captain               But one thing for sure-
shipmates and all.                    the sea's captured me.

Word left unspoken
by ones that have died
slowly are said
by the unruly tide.
