T.P.S Whanau Pool Picnic Day

T.P.S Whanau pool picnic day
On wednesday the 18th of February 2015 T.P.S(Tamaki Primary School)was off to the lagoon pools for a whanau picnic fun day.We had lots of fun and it was great to see all the parents that came.
It was a day where we could have a break from school and from doing lots of hard work in class.
It was sad to see that some students had to be left behind because they did not pay for the bus.
As soon as we arrived there the first thing our class did was to get our buddies and line up waiting for the school to start moving.
When we got inside the pools everyone had to get changed into their togs and sit on the grass waiting for the lifeguards, teachers to give us the rules, instructions.

Duathlon.
I choose this as one of my events because I think that at the start of the duathlon when we had to swim to the bottom of the pool and touch the number 7 and then swim to the top of the pool and touch the other number 7 the water was cold and it was hard for me to swim because I had to carry one of the short kids on my back.
Running 2km around the basin was tiring for me because that was the first time I have ever ran 2km.
I also chose this because I think that my team could work on teamwork because they left me behind and I think that there is no I in team.

Slide.

I choose this as another one of my events because the slide was one of the most fun things we did at the pools.
I liked it because going down the slide was dark and I started laughing when I donged my head on the wall.
The slide got boring because of waiting in a long line and also because we had to go down one at a time.

Free Time.
I choose this event because I think that having free time in the water was the best.
I liked it because we played rugby in the water and the ball we played with was my friends Stanley’s.
He brang a little green and black bouncey soccer ball.

Diving Boards.
The diving boards was the most fun part of the day because I got to show my talent in bombing, but before we could go on the diving boards, everyone had to swim across the water so that the teachers know who is a confident swimmer and who is not a good swimmer.
When it was my turn on the diving boards I popped a big bomb and the teacher rated it a 10 for all my bombs.
Some people were learning how to bomb and other people already knew how to bomb.
At the end of the day everyone cleaned up and got back into their uniforms and sat on the grass listening to the teachers giving the final instructions for the day, everyone got on the bus and went back to school for the end of the day.

This is a recount that I just wrote. It is about the Whanau Pool Picnic Day at the Panmure lagoon.
I hope you like it and please leave a comment.
