Movie Making Evaluation

I think that a fancy costume is the most important element to movie making because a costume is the best part of the movie because a character sometimes needs a costume. 

I put a flash camera second because without a camera, you can’t film. A flash camera means you will have better filming. I think the least important element is a tripod, because when I watch a movie sometimes the camera shakes. 

 Other important elements that aren’t included here are learning lines. If characters don’t know their lines, that means the movie won’t go well. 

 My biggest lightbulb moment while learning about movie magic was editing the movie with Mavis. She taught me how to stick the movies into iMovie and add themes.

Room 8 Speeches

Room 8 have been studying Movie Magic. Part of making movies, is speaking clearly. We put this into practice by planning, crafting, practicing and presenting speeches. The topics we chose, were topics that would influence the thinking of others. We hope you enjoy!

These are my Learning Goals for term 2.

Reading

To get to the next level I need to

• Make a conclusion or an opinion about the stories I read
• Use important information to show my understanding
• Try to visualise when I am reading by myself or when I am listening to the teacher reading

Writing

To get to the next level I need to:

• Use my plan thoroughly when I am writing.
• Use full stops in my stories.
• Proof read my writing to make sure it makes sense!!

Maths

To get to the next level I need to

• Understand the meaning of 1s 10s and 100s
• Understand story problems in maths and use +, -, x and /
• Continue the number pattern and then write or explain the rule
