Why did Greig decide to design a new type of umbrella?
He designed a new type of an umbrella so people would not get wet when it rained and to block the sun from getting in their faces, also because every time he was walking beside someone and it started raining people would pull their umbrellas out and the sharp end would poke him in the eye-OUCH!

What is the history of the umbrella given in the text?
The history of the umbrellas is that they were to protect you from the rain and so that they can block the sun.

What new features did Greig design on the umbrella?
They are the floating rib, canopy, the blunt tips inside pockets and the double struts.

What is the name of Greig’s umbrella and why did he call it that?
The blunt umbrella, he called it the blunt umbrella because it was strong and it was not dangerous

How did Greig test the umbrella?
He went to one tree hill and tested if it was going to break or not break.

How does Greig’s work impact the world?
It helps the world because they can block the sun from getting in their face and it can also help by blocking off the rain because when it rains you can get wet and sick.
